I still remember my first time dancing. I felt truly present within my body and mind. It was unlike any other dancing I had done before. One of my favorite sayings is to sing like no one is listening, dance like nobody is watching, and live like it's heaven on earth. JourneyDance™ has taught me to dance without reservation, and I have since translated this lesson to other avenues of my life. My journey with JourneyDance™ has led me to feel stronger, happier, and more balanced. I'm thrilled to be able to share this gift with others as a JourneyDance Guide.
Jen began practicing yoga at the age of eighteen while earning her bachelor’s degree in International Studies, Psychology, and Anthropology at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Five years later, she completed her Yoga Teacher Certification at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, where she was introduced to JourneyDance™. Since becoming a JourneyDance™ Guide, she obtained her personal trainer certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She currently teaches yoga, leads JourneyDance™ classes, and personal trains children, adults, and seniors at various facilities on the North Shore of Boston, Massachusetts.
Her goal as a teacher is to help others improve their quality of life through movement, self-inquiry, and reflection. Through a combination of physical practice and movement, breath work, and meditation, she encourages others to develop a happier, more compassionate, and peaceful relationship with themselves.
